ANNOUNCEMENTS & ADVICE
When researching colleges, you need to be aware of "fees". They are added on top of tuition and, frankly, are getting out of control. Universities are able to claim their tuition only increased X percent, which is what receives media attention, and the fees stay hidden. Check out this article on it.
Consider the costs of college meal plans when researching universities. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that many schools charge students up to 70% more than they would pay by cooking for themselves. Schools are "hiding" fees to increase revenue. So be smart when you're comparing schools and evaluating costs.
Every year, the Chronicle of Higher Education releases tuition and fees for over 3,000 colleges and universities. Search for your school(s) of choice to compare costs. You can find the information here.
